  • Trans-Canada Highway - Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass

Prolonged heavy rain this weekend. Where: North Columbia, Kinbasket, West Columbia, and Trans-Canada Highway - Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass. When: Beginning Friday afternoon and continuing through the weekend. What: Heavy rain with storm totals of 50 to 80 mm of rain. Wet snow is possible for Friday afternoon and early evening near Rogers Pass. Hazards: -Water pooling on roads. -Swollen rivers and creeks. -Increased risk of washouts, rockfall, and landslides on very saturated surfaces. Remarks: An atmospheric river is taking aim at southern BC and will bring a period of heavy and prolonged rain to the Columbia region beginning Friday afternoon and continuing through the weekend. The Trans-Canada Highway near Rogers Pass may see wet snow Friday afternoon and early evening before it quickly changes to rain as the weather system brings in mild air. Rainfall totals are expected to reach 50 to 80 mm by Monday morning. Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.     • Click on the "Close" button to save the change
  • Keyboard navigation
    • Use the Tab key to move to a button or link
    • Use the Enter key to click on buttons or links
    • Organize shortcuts navigation
      • Use the ↑ Up key to select the link above. If none are selected, it will select the first link.
      • Use the ↓ Down key to select the link below. If none are selected, it will select the last link.
      • Use the Page Up key to move a selection up in the list.
      • Use the Page Down key to move a selection down in the list.
  • Restore default list
