- South Klondike Highway - Carcross to White Pass
First substantial snowfall will close out the work week. Where: Carcross, White Pass, Atlin, and Teslin. When: Tonight through Saturday. Hazards: - Widespread snow accumulation of 5 to 15 cm with up to 20 cm over White Pass. - Lower visibilities in heavy snow. - Windy conditions late Friday may result drifting snow to further reduce the visibility. Remarks: Yukon’s first substantial snow is underway. Total snowfall accumulations will range from 5 to 15 cm for most areas with amounts possibly reaching 20 cm over White Pass. An arctic ridge of high pressure will begin to clear the skies on Saturday and temperatures will fall to near -15 degrees Celsius by Sunday morning.
