By 10:00 a.m. AST today low 1010 mb located over East Scotian Slope. At 10:00 a.m. AST Thursday departing low 1003 mb located south of Laurentian Fan. AST Wednesday 25 December 2024. A low pressure system south of the marine district will move to lie over East Scotian Slope this morning. The system will depart the marine district Thursday morning. Gale to possibly storm force east to northeasterlies are expected near the low. Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for LaHave Bank, West Scotian Slope, eastern shore, Sable, East Scotian Slope, Fourchu, Banquereau and Laurentian Fan. A low pressure system will develop tonight southwest of the marine district and move to lie over East Scotian Slope on Wednesday.
