Snowfall Warning in effect for:
  • B.C. South Peace River

Snowfall with total amounts of 10 to 15 cm is expected. Where: B.C. South Peace River. When: This afternoon to Saturday morning. Remark: Bands of precipitation associated with a frontal system are forecast to bring between 10 to 15 cm of snow to the southern part of the southern Peace region this evening and into Saturday morning. The heaviest snowfall, which is expected to meet warning criteria, will occur from late this afternoon to early Saturday morning. Snow will taper to a few flurries Saturday late morning. In addition, due to gusty winds, there maybe some areas of blowing snow contributing to very poor visibilities. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
