A long period of heavy snowfall with total amounts of 20 to 30 cm is expected. Snowfall will begin in central Alberta tonight, and will intensify Saturday morning. Total amounts of 20 to 30 cm are anticipated by Sunday morning. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.
