Snowfall Warning in effect for:
  • Chilcotin

Snowfall with total amounts of 10 cm is expected. Where: Chilcotin When: Late tonight and Friday. Remarks: Ahead of an approaching Pacific storm, moisture will invade the Chilcotin and run into cold air being pushed down from the northeast creating periods of snow over the region. Light snow will begin tonight and intensify Friday morning. The heaviest snowfall is expected near the Coast Mountains where moist air will be forced to rise. Snow will tapered to a few flurries Friday evening. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
