Rain and snow continue to fall. What: - Rainfall amounts of 40 to 60 millimetres near the shoreline of the tip of the Gaspé Peninsula. - Snowfall amounts near 10 centimetres over higher terrain. - Strong northeasterly winds. When: through Sunday evening. The strongest winds will persist until overnight tonight. Additional information: precipitation type will vary from rain to snow depending on elevation and proximity to the shoreline. Areas over higher terrain will mostly receive snow, while coastal areas will mainly see rain. However, even the shoreline could see periods of snow, depending on local temperature variations. Snowfall amounts may also vary greatly. Be prepared to adjust your driving to changing road conditions. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
